I am a 45-year-old father of two, currently living in Helsinki.

For some unfathomable reason, editing films and series is my passion; I love organizing things and take great satisfaction in shaping raw material into a cohesive story. I am an emotionally driven editor, aiming to infuse feeling into films right from the first rough cuts. I absolutely love working with sound and soundscapes, as they play a crucial role in building emotion.

As an editor, I am quick and efficient without sacrificing creativity or the joy of experimentation. I enjoy problem-solving and see myself as the team member who, through my skills and tools, helps the director and producer achieve their vision. I strive to stick to agreed schedules and am willing to share versions as early as the assembly stage, even if they’re far from polished. This way, I can involve all stakeholders in the editing process.

I’m good at receiving (and giving) constructive feedback and always approach my colleagues with respect and professionalism.
