UHMA (2025)
Uhma is a powerful drama that captures the rage of a young person’s inner world and a deep longing for love. It tells the story of Vilma, who has lost her father and struggles to find her place in her new blended family. As her pain escalates, Vilma ends up in a youth detention home, where she refuses to be broken by an arbitrary and harshly authoritarian staff. Is there any option left other than running away—and who can ultimately be trusted? The film draws on real-life stories of young people.
